Ruben siempre fue una gran persona y muy buen amigo y tio, tengo muy buenos recuerdos de cuando éramos niños; el y Josefina nos llevaban a muchas partes a divertir y de paseo, frequentemente hacían algo de comer para todos en casa de mis abuelitos, mi platillo favorito que Rubén hacía era el caldo de abulon. Me tocó vivír un tiempo con Rubén y Josefina en su casa en Santa Paula, Ruben me llevaba todos los días a la escuela en Ventura y nunca se quejó por llevarme. Aunque poco después perdí contacto con ellos, nunca olvide su generosidad y será extrañado mucho.
