Ronald Dugar, 75

Ronald James Dugar died January 6, 2019, at his home in Simi Valley, California.

Funeral services will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley on January 17, 2019 at 11:00am by Deacon Melecio Zamora of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.  Please join us for the gathering of family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.  A reception will be held after the service at the funeral home.  Private burial at Assumption Cemetery

At family’s request, no flowers please. 

Ron was born on November 25, 1943, in Glendale, Calif., to Betty and Ross Claspill.  He was the first graduating class of Granada Hills High School in 1961. He went on to work in the retail clerk grocery industry, followed by 35 years in LA City Recreation and Parks Municipal Sports.  He worked as a Sports and Umpire Coordinator.  He also worked for Conejo Recreation and Parks.  He enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball and umpiring.  He loved spending time with his three grandchildren and proudly attended their many sporting activities, school and social events. 

Ron is survived by his wife Dee of 55 years, sons Ron, Rick and Rod, brother Larry, sister-in-law Bobbie, sisters Robyne and Darlene, daughter-in-law Veronica and grandchildren Rylee, Reese and Ronny.  He will also be missed by his devoted dog Daisy.
