He became a Los Angeles City Fireman serving for 32 years and rising to the rank of captain. He loved to travel in his RV, and over the years he visited all the continental 48 states, Alaska and Canada. He is survived by his children, Irene Karimi of Palm Desert and Frank Gorman of Santa Rosa. He also is survived by his grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: Dina Quanstrom and her husband Phil and children Edward and Jade Quanstrom of Highland, Cliff Karimi of San Diego and son Kevin, Matthew Gorman and wife Jamie and children Lila and Nora of Altadena, Joshua Gorman and wife Christy and children Joseph and Alialani of Santa Rosa, and Kirk Gorman and wife Jaime and children Whitney, Reese, and Marlo of Santa Rosa. He was preceded in death by his wives Barbara Gorman, Genevieve Gardetto Gorman, Marjorie Foster, and Helen Husted Gorman. His children, Irene and Frank, wish to thank the Husted family for the love and concern they always showed to their father. They are very thankful to Buena Vista Hospice Care for the compassionate care they provided. And they sincerely appreciate Senior Helpers of Westlake Village, especially Kelly Thomas and Monica Garcia, for their cheerful manner and the consistent care and companionship they provided. The funeral service will be held at the Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley on Saturday, August 24th at 10:00 a.m., and internment will directly follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Frank requested that donations may be given in his name to the Los Angeles Fireman's Relief Association.
