One of my most precious memories of Jake is when he was a little boy about maybe 2 -3 years old. He was just adorable. One day I came over to the house because Leslie & Mike had planned a birthday party for him at Chuck E. Cheese. The restaurant was very close to their house. When I got there he gave me a big hug and when I asked him where we are going today he said.........."gauck-a-see", we're going to "gauck-a-see"!! His little face lit up and he was so excited. You see, he couldn't pronounce Chuck E. Cheese. So that was Jakes name for Chuck E. Cheese. Another sweet memory I have of him is also when he was little, again maybe 2-3 years old. I would come over to visit or babysit, or just hang out. Well whenever a siren went off outside, he would sit up or jump up and say: "Firetruck"...."Firetruck"! And he would point his little finger to the outside of the house, knowing a fire engine was driving by somewhere out there. It was just the cutest thing you could imagine, just precious. I cherish those memories with all my heart. Aunt Kim

I can not even put into words how much joy & happiness my nephew Jacob brought into my life, and the lives of others. From the day he was born, he was truly a beautiful baby. I remember I couldn't wait to come over to my sister's house to babysit him because he was such a good little guy! And I'll always remember the birthday parties Leslie & Mike threw for him throughout the years as he was growing up. And then in the blink of an eye he turned into a tall & athletic teenager. I couldn't believe he was taller than me! I remember driving him and his friends to various places, like the mall, restaurants and movie theaters. I think one night I piled about 8 kids into my little Jetta to go to the Winnetka theaters to see a scary movie. Jake of course was the tallest so he got to sit up front with me. He truly had a wonderful childhood. And then he grew into a very handsome, loving, and sensitive man. And I was so proud to call him my nephew. There is no way to put into words how much happiness having him in my life has brought me. I was blessed to have this beautiful person in my life for 26 years and he will always be in my life and my heart forever.

My my best friend Jacob when I first met it it was when I was 5 years old in kindergarden later to find out he lived right around the corner from me and instantly became best friends for 20 years we had our ups and down but that just made our friendship even more stronger from birthday party to basketball to lake trips and tube rides when me and Jacob were pulled behind my boat and to middle school and highschool and so forth the memories were endless I loved Jacob so much and he was my brother he was ours this smile and kind heart were so special just as he was I will miss you forever and I will forever love you not as a friend but as the best brother ever Hope ur enjoying heaven where there is no more pain and are im the presents of the greatest God I love you so much

So many memories - the neighborhood, trick or treating with all the kids, baseball (so much baseball) at the Little League fields, just hanging with the kids as they grew up. Jake turned into such a handsome young man. He will be sorely missed by so many. RIP Guardian Angel Jake - please look down on your momma, your brother and all of those who loved you as they face the days ahead.
