Obituary of Israel Carrillo
Israel Carrillo, age 75, died of natural causes on January 5th, 2023, in his home in Oxnard, Ca.
He is survived by his six siblings, five children, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a hand full of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, one son, and his loving wife.
Israel was born on November 21, 1947, in Los Aldamas Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to parents Manuel Carrillo and Paula Garza He migrated to the US from Mexico to seek better opportunities and future where he soon met his wife and started a family together. He was a great family man and loving father. He shares six children together with his wife including a son, who died in infancy.
Israel was a social, active man who was hard working and kind. He taught his children the value of being present for all the special moments and to work hard in making their way in the world. He enjoyed traveling, being around his family and dancing. His family and friends will always remember him for his funny stories and his bright smile.
A Rosary will be held in his honor at 7pm with viewing from 5 to 9 pm on January 16, at Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley. There will be a Liturgy of the Word service on Tuesday morning at 10 am also at Rose Family Funeral Home with a Burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard. Deacon Melecio Zamora will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Israel’s life.
