Uncle Bill and Mrs. Birdie were a huge part of our childhood and upbringing. When my Gramps was alive and toting us around - he stopped daily to talk with Uncle Bill whenever we were driving to go somewhere. As all of us kids have grown- we have enjoyed spending time talking with Uncle Bill and learning more of his life and stories from his childhood, teens, and beyond. I loved riding my motorcycle up to the house whenever he would flag me down so he could tell me of his stories of riding and racing. He had a soul of gold and loved his people. The neighborhood will never be the same without him and Birdie, but I find comfort in the fact that they’re together again. It’s been an honor growing up with them. Gone, but never ever forgotten! With love,
Grace Hanamoto

Bill, thank you very much for your kindness, honesty, simplicity, and warmth that you always reflected. You were an admirable person and you left us thousands of anecdotes that you told in the meetings that we enjoyed when you visited Las Vegas. Each of your closest relatives will know how to appreciate the enormous contribution that you left reflected in their lives. As friends and neighbors, we will remember you as the generous warrior you always were and the tender and sincere commitment to your adventure partner, Birdie. Today she receives you in her arms to continue caring from the beyond for that beautiful legacy that you built together. Thank you for the learning, the advice, and the friendship that you planted in us, we will never forget them.
See you soon our dear friends...
Gustavo and Jesse.

Bill took care of his family, contributed greatly to his chosen craft, and exemplified loyalty, love, and an amazing appetite for tamales. He will be greatly missed by many. Bill is now reunited with the love of his life, Birdie.
