Obituary of David Lee Hileman
David lee Hileman, 89 of Simi Valley passed away peacefully on January 21st.
Memorial service will be held on February 9, at 11am in the chapel of Rose Family Funeral Home. Ralph Kleemeyer will be officiating.
David was born on November 13, 1933 in Elco, Illinois to Eleanor Irene King and Clyde Hileman. David graduated from Granite City High School in 1952 and went on to earn a degree in Engineering in 1978. He worked as an aerospace engineer for Litton Industries for 36 years before retiring in 1998.
David enjoyed singing, golfing, gardening, bowling, cars and baseball - he loved the Angels and Cardinals. David was a gifted writer of poetry and proud, published author of two books, ‘The Gift’ and ‘Pearl’. He was a family man with a huge heart and a quick wit. He loved spending time with his wife and four children and numerous grandchildren.
David is survived by his son, Brian Hileman, daughter Barbara Levy, son in law Brian Levy, along with ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
David will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. His beautiful voice will live on forever.
