Obituary of Mary Marjorie Mott
Mary Marjorie “Marge” Mott, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2023 at the age of 93. Marge was born in Los Angeles on April 25th, 1930, as the only child to John and Agnes Davey. She graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1948.
Marge loved books, travel and a bit of adventure. She had many stories to tell, whether it be her visits to see Buckingham Palace in London or her zip lining experience in Las Vegas. She was passionate about capturing all of life’s moments on camera. She enjoyed spending hours filling endless albums with photographs of her family, friends and trips.
Marge deeply loved her family and friends. She will be remembered for the unwavering love and compassion she had for everyone that was blessed to be part of her life. Whether it be a little bit of advice, a warm meal, or just a hug, Marge was there for everyone who needed her.
She will also be remembered for her phone conversations and the greeting cards she mailed, expressing her love to her family and friends on holidays, special occasions, or just because she was thinking about you.
Marge is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, William Mott, children Tom, Brian (Mary) and John (Kelly) Mott, grandchildren Kristen Lenox, Nicole Ancheta, Kari Lenox, Michael, Mark and Carson Mott and great-grandchildren Justin, Bethany, Emma, Krew and Ethan.
She is proceeded in death by her children Wendy and Greg Mott.
We will greatly miss her and all the beauty she brought to this world. She touched so many people in her life and we will forever be grateful that we had the opportunity to be graced with such a woman of unwavering love, light and faith.
Legacy of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll Eternally Keep.
