Don was such an incredible person. We first met him at our Marriage Encounter weekend in 1977 where he and Pat were the lead presenting couple. His sharings inspired us both to want to live more spiritually within our marriage and to become more involved in church ministry. Whenever we were struggling in our relationship, we would ask ourselves: "What would Don and Pat do?" We enjoyed our time working together at St. Mel's youth ministry with Don and Pat and our M/E connection helped create a long association with a group that became known as the "WEBEGATS". We gathered together for over 20 years including a trip to England. The memories are so numerous it is impossible to pick out just one or two. Don had such a great sense of humor and a compassionate side that was so endearing. He always made us feel like we were the most important person whenever we talked or shared time.
We will miss him but our memories of him will carry us forward with a gratitude of having shared such special times together.

Don seemed to love everyone and when you spoke with him he made you feel like you were the only person that was important.
He truly listened and cared. a real sign of a Christ led life. He and your mom were a dynamic couple.

What a great guy! Always a caring way and a terrific sense of humor. He was a dear friend of my husband Jerry Dempsey from college at Santa Clara and the Navy. They kept close. I just wish Don could have influenced Jerry with his healthy nutrition! Well, like cereal with grapefruit juice. Don will be remembered in many hearts.

Lynn Thanks for your lovely thoughts about our Dad. We are so grateful for his lifelong friendship with Jerry-they were lucky to have each other through all those years.
And his habit of grapefruit juice in his cereal is something we won’t forget as well!
