Obituary of Carol Ann Novak
Carol Ann Novak passed away, at the age of 66, afer a courageous battle with cancer, on February 11, 2024. She departed this world peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born to parents, Elaine and Ronald Stoller, on July 3, 1957 in Chadron, Nebraska. In 1959, her sister, Diane Stoller, was born. They lived in many places throughout their lives including Nebraska, Arizona, and Colombia, South America for 2 years, while their father took an assignment as a professor with the University of Nebraska.
She graduated from Saguaro High School in Tucson, Arizona in 1975. She went on to study at the University of Arizona and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing in 1979. Afer graduating, she worked the majority of her diverse career in healthcare administration at Kaiser Permanente. Later, she earned a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration fom California State University Bakersfield. Afer 26 years of service, she left Kaiser in 2019 and became RN Senior Clinical Manager for Facilities Compliance at Blue Shield. She took pride in her healthcare career and the lifelong friendships she formed along the way.
Carol met former spouse, Daniel Novak, in college and had 2 children together, Jennifer and Kimberly Novak, who they adored.
In her free time she enjoyed playing tennis, doing cardiobarre workout classes, crafting, making jewelry, pickle ball, and spending time with her friends, partner Chris, and with her daughters, son in laws, and her two new grandsons,
Hunter and Owen. She loved hosting dinner parties, especially for birthday celebrations, and always made everyone around her feel welcomed with her warm, bubbly personality.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Novak (Jeffrey Snider), Kimberly Novak (Jeffrey Martinez), her grandchildren, Hunter Snider and Owen Martinez, her partner Chris Foltz, her sister Diane Stoller, niece and nephews, Kristin Anders, and Lars Grorud, and her favorite pets Lulu (dog), Theo (cat), Furgie (cat), and Liv (dog).
She was preceded in death by her previous partner, Brian Bockwoldt, and parents, Ronald and Elaine Stoller.
