Obituary of William Addison Yaryan

**William Addison Yaryan (Bill)**
**June 3, 1956 – October 4, 2024**

William Addison Yaryan, affectionately known to many as Bill, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Simi Valley, California, after a brief illness with cancer. Born in California on June 3, 1956, Bill was adopted by Irene Florence Hunt Yaryan and Delmar Allen Yaryan, who provided him with a loving home and strong values that shaped his remarkable life.

In his early career, Bill worked at Fortyn Industries, contributing to the development of computer boards. His career reached new heights when he began working under contract with NASA and Boeing, supporting the production of the space station—a role he took great pride in. After the conclusion of his contract, Bill retired early, allowing him to fully embrace his many passions.

Bill was a man with an eye for aesthetics and a deep love for mid-century modern architecture. His creative spirit flourished in his garden, in the kitchen, and while entertaining guests. He was known for his impeccable taste and his ability to create beautiful, inviting spaces. Whether at home or outdoors, Bill found joy in the simple things, especially spending time with his beloved dogs.

A self-educated intellectual, Bill was an engaged citizen, always staying informed about community and national events. His curiosity and insight made him a source of thoughtful conversation among his close circle of friends. Though he had few friendships, they were deep and rich, reflecting the quality of his character and loyalty.

One of Bill’s greatest joys in recent years was returning to his childhood home, a family property since 1971, which he had owned since 1983. He took great pride in renovating it to reflect his unique vision and personal touch.

Bill is survived by his sister and his long-standing partner and former spouse, Ken, as well as an extended family gained through marriage. His legacy of kindness, intellect, and love for beauty will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A private celebration of life will be held in his honor, as per his wishes.
