Obituary of George Murphy

George Allen Murphy 78 of Simi Valley passed away peacefully at home,January 23,2014. He was born to the late Carl and Gertrude Murphy on March 4,1935 in South Dakota.He graduated from North Hollywood High, then joined Army in 1954,he was stationed in Korea and Japan and there is where he met and married his beautiful wife Naruko Kubota. They moved to Simi Valley in 1964 and this is where he called home,raised his two children and retired from SP Milling. George is survived by his wife Naruko Kubota:daughter Colleen St.Jean:son James (Lisa)Murphy and Grandchildren, Vincent (Jessica) St. Jean,Carl St.Jean ,Anthony Murphy and Makayla Murphy. He also had the joy of two great granddaughters Emberly and Saddie St. Jean. George is also survived by his sister Colleen Murphy, extended family and friends. George loved his family, fishing,baseball, lottery scratchers and had passion for telling his stories to everyone. Services will be held at Rose on February 22 at 2:00pm
