Obituary of Jerry Lapair

Jerry was born in Santa Monica, CA on September 3, 1935 and passed suddenly on February 12, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Marci Lapair; daughters, Christy (Jerry) Hammersley and Jennifer (John) Shonafelt; son, Craig Lapair; step-daughter, Shannon Pankey. He has 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.
He spent most of his childhood in Van Nuys and graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1953. He owned his own machine shop, Airmis Mfg. Inc. in North Hollywood for over 40 years. He was on the board of directors for his Model T Ford club. He was always tinkering in the garage on his 1940 Ford coupe that he bought in 1951 and loved collecting jukeboxes, old telephones, radios and Hires Root Beer memorabillia.
His funeral service is scheduled Wednesday, February 19, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at the Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made towww.TalbertFamilyFoundation.orgin Hazel Hammersley's name.
