Obituary of Patricia Gale Young
Patricia Gale Young, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home in Simi Valley, California on July 2, 2014. She was 71 years old.
Patricia was born in Springfield, Tennessee, the sixth of seven children to Starling E. Boyles and Flora E. Boyles on March 27, 1943. She went to Tullahoma High School (TN) and graduated in 1961 and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Pat worked as a secretary for Rocketdyne at both the Arnold Engineering Development Center in Tennessee and at Canoga Park, California. On December 13, 1969, Pat married husband Ronald Young in Tennessee and they lived and raised their three children in Simi Valley, California. She enjoyed fishing and boating at their vacation home on TIMS Ford Lake in TN, traveling, taking cruises, going to Las Vegas and especially spending time with friends and family. She attended Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley and the Wilson Avenue Church of Christ in Tullahoma, TN.
Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Jimmie, and Donny Boyles, and sister Inez Baltimore. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronald W. Young, daughter Michelle Donnelly (Kevin) of Henderson, NV; son Kyle Young (Shannon) and daughter Kimberly Jones (Darin)) both of Simi Valley, CA; and four grandchildren Kaden, Gaven and Payten Young and Kage Jones; brother Ronnie Boyles(Mary) of Estill Springs, TN and sister Shirley Spraggins (William) of Tullahoma, TN.
Visitation will be held at the Rose Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, between 5:00 and 9:00 PM, located at 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063.
Funeral service will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church, 2080 Winfred Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063, on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Todd Nighswonger officiating. A reception will follow the service prior to the burial.
Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park located at 22601 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311 at 12:30 PM. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
