I was looking at the Ham Radio Operator Lists for the Simi Valley area when I came upon Michael's name and call sign. Thinking to get in contact with him again I was saddened when I came across the obituary. Michael sold me my first ham radio, a Ten Tec QRP (Low Power Rig) which he had modified the output transistors so they were heavy duty. I made my first contact in Morse code to my Elmer Ed Meyer (ham speak for teacher), in the same neighborhood as myself and Michael in 1983, right after I got my novice license. Michael, I will never forget you and your sound advice and allowing my to get my first contact. Rest in Peace my old friend and 73 to you. With respect, Richard, KB6ATX.
