I will always remember Lane, as one of the few men I have ever known, that adored his wife and wasn't afraid to admit how much she and his family meant to him...
I remember fondly the long conversations I had with him on the front bench and how quickly the time passed...
The Byrnes family have lots of memories to always hold Lane close and the pain of loss that they feel now, is only because of all the JOY they experienced with him..
And for that, they will always be grateful.
I pray that I will be blessed with the same courage that Lane had in the face of death and know that I will never live long enough to find the unconditional love that he had for the love of his life--Piper.
Lane, you are with me always.. don't worry, Piper will be OK because of you.
