My dearest Regi,
That we were meant to come together and know and love each other as friends is something I am as certain of as the air that I breathe. Although we only knew each other for such a short time, in my heart and mind, it feels as if we knew each other for all of our lives. You and I are proof that in the brief stay that each of us is given here on Earth, how and why we cross paths with others is preordained. While trying to find another Sheltie after my darling Bucky left me, I found you, my dear friend, as well as Daisy, my beloved, all at the same time. When I think of all the paths we both traveled and the timing that came before us in order for us to meet up that fateful day in May of1995, it could not be any kind of mere coincidence that brought us together. Although I weep that you are no longer here with me, I remind myself that it was a privilege to know and love you and an honor that I was able to lend you a helping hand in ways large and small for the time we shared as friends. I could not miss you more if I tried but I am certain we will meet again, this side or the other. With all my love...diana
