Obituary of Susan Sand

Susie passed away unexpectedly at her home in Thousand Oaks on June 13,2012. She was born on December 17,1954 in Detroit Michigan to Rod and Patti Sand. She graduated from East Detroit High School and Northwood University, Midland Michigan with a degree in marketing. Upon graduation she worked in advertising sales for various radio stations in the metro Detroit area. She moved on to the promotional advertising business and started her own company; Specialized Marketing Solutions in 1999. In 2000 she married her husband Gary Kos and moved from Detroit to Bedford New Hampshire to join him. In 2002 they moved to Thousand Oaks and she continued to expand her promotional business. Susie loved California and Northern Michigan. She enjoyed working with her customers, and took a very personal interest in them. She creatively promoted and advertised their businesses. Her energy and passion for her work and people was contagious. She is survived by her mother Patti and her brother Jeff both from Detroit and her husband Gary Kos of Thousand Oaks.Susie is proceeded in death by her father Rod and her brother Michael A memorial service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home 4444 Cochran Street in Simi Valley at noon on Thursday June 21,2012.
