Obituary of Carol E. Mutz

Carol Greaney Mutz , age 72, of Simi Valley passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Carol was born on May 27, 1945 in Buffalo, New York the daughter of William and Vera Greaney.

Family and friends were Carol’s passion and delight. She grew up spending summers and vacations with her sisters and cousins. She graduated Bellermine- Jefferson Catholic School in Burbank where she was a member of the drill team. Carol loved life and found joy in celebrating it. She had a loving and generous heart and touched many lives with her laughter and infectious smile.

In 1965, she married Mr. Bruce Mutz and accompanied him overseas where they enjoyed many adventures together. Upon his completion in the Air Force they returned to Southern California eventually settling in Simi Valley where they raised three children. This family and her role as mother and grandmother was the most important thing to Carol and being with them was what she enjoyed most. Outside of the home Carol worked as a kindergarten aide for many years and was well loved at the school by staff and students.  Later on she continued working at Farmers insurance where she made long term friendships.  Her sweet spirit was a blessing to all that knew her.

Carol was survived by her sisters Leticia Stopper and Kathy Bebe; daughters Karen Ballesteros and Kristen Marten; son Eric Mutz; grandchildren Nicolas Ballesteros, Isaac Ballesteros, Jessica Ballesteros, Lauren Marten, Jack Marten, Ethan Mutz, Ashton Mutz and Chloe Mutz and a number of other relatives and close friends.
