Obituary of Mehgan Porter

Mehgan Tumua Porter Mar. 24, 1980 - July 10, 2012 Mehgan passed away quietly, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Mar. 24, 1980 in Provo, UT to Aldric and Mari Porter. She graduated from Thousand Oaks High School, and received a Bachelors degree in psychology from Brigham Young University. She also obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from Brigham Young University and passed the California Bar exam on her first attempt. She was a practicing attorney employed by Ensign Services in Mission Viejo, CA. She lived in Santa Monica, CA and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Whether she was playing sports or games, camping with family, or sharing a good meal, Mehgan was always up for adventure. She loved the beach and the mountains, and welcomed opportunities to travel. She is survived by her parents, Aldric and Mari Porter; and siblings Leah Tuifua, her husband Ben, and their children Kalea, Malakai, Isaiah, and Elijah; brother Micah Porter and his wife Brittney; sister Bryn Jacobsen and her husband Chris; and sisters Hannah Porter and Delaney Porter. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1600 Erbes Rd., Thousand Oaks, CA at 11:00 am. Viewing will be from 9:00-10:30. Early arrival is encouraged to allow time to enjoy a video montage of Mehgan's life, and to fill out a memory card or simply sign one for our scrapbook.
