Obituary of Maria Aguilar Lozano

Maria Aguilar Lozano, 76, of Moorpark, California slipped into eternal sleep on November 18, 2017.

Funeral service will be held at St. Rose of Lima located at 1305 Royal Ave. Simi Valley, Ca. 93065 on Wednesday Nov. 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery located at 1380 Fitzgerald Rd. Simi Valley, Ca.

Visitation will be on Tuesday November 28 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary prayer at 7 p.m. It will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home located at 4444 Cochran St. Simi Valley, Ca.

Maria Aguilar Lozano was born to Rafael and Juana Aguilar in Zacatecas, Mexico.

At a young age, 15 years old, she demonstrated her strength and courage by leaving her family behind and traveling North to Ciudad Juarez and later even more North to the United States. She eventually settled in Moorpark, California. Although she obtained limited education, the life lessons she learned along the way were more than enough to prepare her to pass on her knowledge and wisdom to those that would listen.

Through the years she worked different jobs from house cleaner, to nanny, to working at Egg City and finally ending her work career in the technology industry. No matter how tired she was, the job she did most effortlessly was being a mother. Her favorite past times were knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking for others and spending quality time with family and friends. She possessed a green thumb when it came to gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Pedro Lozano. Her children; Gloria Lozano, Pedro Lozano Jr., Maria G. Lozano and Daughter in law Shannon Lozano. Her siblings; Antonio Aguilar and Rosa Aguilar. Her granddaughters; Liliana Lozano, Sofia Lozano and Cecilia Mendoza.
